Pennsbury High School Junior Wins National Honors in 2017 Scholastic Art and Writing Contest
Katia Barricklow, a 11th grader from Pennsbury High School, has earned national recognition from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in the United States.
A record-breaking 330,000 works of art and writing were submitted by students in grades 7–12 to this year’s contest. Katia won two silver medals for photography and journalism, placing her within the top one percent of all submissions nationally.

Pennsbury Sophomore Wins Top Honors In Scholastic Art & Writing Awards
Katia Barricklow, a 10th grader from Pennsbury High School, received a Gold Key from the prestigious 2016 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for an essay entitled, “True Threat or Distasteful Rap? Supreme Court to Rule Soon In Important Online Free Speech Case.”
